Class Reservation System

01 we did a thing Lions Krav Maga

First of all, thank you so much to all of you who shared your thoughts and ideas with us about how to improve our reservation system.  With your input, we were able to come up with the following student reservation policy, which will begin on Tuesday, May 30th after the holiday weekend.
  • You will be able to reserve your spot in class up to 7 days before the start time of class. Reservations more than a week out will no longer be possible. This will help because people will have a better understanding of their schedule, so they will be less likely to cancel their reservations.
  • You may cancel your reservation up to 12 hours in advance. If you do not cancel your reservation before the 12-hour cut-off time, then one of these things must happen…
    • Transfer your reservation – You may find someone to take over your reservation. This person CANNOT already have an existing reservation in that class. Once someone has agreed to take your spot, you must email lionskravmaga@gmail.com BEFORE THE START TIME OF CLASS to let us know the full name of the person taking your spot. At that point, that person will take over your reservation.
      • Need to transfer your reservation but can’t find anyone to take your spot? Email lionskravmaga@gmail.com and ask if there’s anyone on the waitlist who might be interested. BUT! Be aware that the closer to class time you get, the less likely the person on the waitlist will be able to take your spot (and the less likely that a staff person will even receive your email in time), so please email us early! Also, there’s no guarantee that there will be anyone on the waitlist to begin with…but it is an option!
    • Use a freebie – Everyone starts their membership with 5 freebies. You may exchange one of your freebies to avoid being charged a penalty for no-showing on a reservation. In order to use a freebie, you must email lionskravmaga@gmail.com BEFORE THE START TIME OF CLASS to let us know that you would like to use a freebie.  Simply informing us that you won’t be attending does not count as a request. You gotta actually ask to use the freebie.
    • $10 No-show fee – If we do not receive an email requesting that your reservation be transferred or that one of your 5 freebies be used, then you will incur a $10 no-show fee, which will be charged to the account you have on file.
  • No-show fees will go into our Holiday Party fund! We throw a pretty great party over the holidays… free seminar, open bar, ridiculous board games.  The no-show fees will now help fund the merriment!
  • Reservations are not required! They’re only recommended… especially for the evening classes that tend to fill up. You will be able to see in the ZenPlanner app how many people have reserved spots in each class, so if you want to try to get into class without making a reservation, do your thing! Just keep in mind that all classes are capped at 20 (except Kickboxing, which is capped at 16).
That’s our show, folks! Thank you again to all who helped contribute to this solution! We think it’s going to work out great!
If you have any questions or anything about this new system, please don’t hesitate to ask. We are happy to help. Have a safe weekend, and we’ll see you back at the gym next week!
