Krav Junior Belt Stripes
PINK
TEAMWORK
- Be a good partner– helping each other get better
- Stay positive about what we are doing that day. Demonstrate a willingness to participate.
- Be supportive of your training partner
RED
CONTROL
- Use the appropriate amount of power for the drill AND for your training partner (don’t hurt your partner).
- Show the appropriate level of intensity when performing a technique, which should be based on the severity of the imaginary threat (adult vs. child | situational awareness).
- Demonstrate the intention behind what you’re doing.
- If you’re “yelling for help” but your voice is still quiet, then your actions aren’t matching your intention.
- If you’re throwing strikes to an “adult attacker” as part of your finishing mode, but you’re really just throwing strikes to the air kind of near the attacker but not actually clearly targeting anything, then your actions aren’t matching your intention.
GREEN
MENTAL TOUGHNESS
- Warriors do hard things!
- Don’t quit just because it’s hard. Everyone has a quitter that lives inside their head, and that quitter can be really loud when things get tough. Be tougher than your quitter.
- Be brave & speak up for yourself even when you’re feeling nervous or scared.
- Be honest, even when it’s scary. Demonstrate integrity.
- Take responsibility for yourself & your actions, both in the present moment, and in the future. (age specific expectations)
