Defensive Pistol 201

The Defensive Pistol 201 is designed to build on the Defensive Pistol 101 course and will focus on gun retention, safety, and marksmanship in high stress situations. 

This 8-hour weekend workshop will include:

• Firearms Safety Review
• Advanced shooting positions
• Threat assessment and defensive tactics 
• Transitions between fighting and shooting 
• Drawing in stressful situations
• Gun retention under pressure
• Shooting on the move 
• Disarming an attacker
• Scenario training and exercises
• and more!

The course will be from 2-6pm on Saturday, January 27 & Sunday, January 28, 2024. 

• Day 1 will be at Lions and will cover various shooting positions, dry fire drills, disarms, and gun retention.
• Day 2 will be at the range and will include live fire with movement, scenario training and hand-to-hand drills.

Prerequisite: Defensive Pistol 101 Course at Lions or other comparable training

Required gear:

• Sturdy pants or jeans
• Sturdy belt
• Pistol (no revolvers)
• 3 magazines
• Mag pouches
• Ear & eye protection
• Groin protector
• Mouthguard
• 300 rounds of ammo

**A limited number of rental pistols are available. Rental pistols come with magazines & mag pouches. Ammo, belt, & protective gear is not included.
