Defensive Pistol 101 Weekend Workshop

The aim of the Defensive Pistol 101 Weekend Workshop is to provide you with the skills and mindset necessary to save your own life and the lives of those you love. This 8-hour weekend workshop will cover the fundamentals of armed self defense, including:

• Situational awareness
• Defensive tactics
• Firearm safety
• Drawing, loading, & firing a pistol
• Fundamentals of marksmanship
• Cover & concealment
• Pistol retention
• Disarming an attacker
• and more!

The course will be from 2pm-6pm on Saturday, April 22 & Sunday, April 23, 2023.

• Day 1 will be at Lions and will cover pistol handling, dry fire, disarms, and gun retention.
• Day 2 will be at the range and will include live fire and hand-to-hand drills.

Required gear:

• Sturdy pants or jeans
• Sturdy belt
• Pistol (no revolvers)
• 3 magazines
• Mag pouches
• Ear & eye protection
• Groin protector
• Mouthguard
• 300 rounds of ammo

**A limited number of rental pistols are available. Rental pistols come with magazines & mag pouches. Ammo, belt, & protective gear is not included.

This course is open to everyone age 16+. No prior experience with firearms, defensive tactics, or martial arts is required. Beginners are encouraged to attend!
