Kris Perkins

Kris Perkins is a retired Army NCO with multiple tours of combat and awards for valor under fire. He is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, and was one of the first five Modern Army Combatives Black Belts under the legendary Matt Larsen. He is also a former professional MMA fighter who retired with an undefeated 5-0 record.

Kris grew up in NE Oklahoma, where he got his start in wrestling. Later, when the Army began developing the Modern Army Combatives program, Kris became one of the plank holders of the program. Kris is the only Coach to win 3 Army Combatives championships. Kris has trained the US Special Forces, as well as their Canadian, Slovakian, Polish, Iraqi, and Afghan counterparts.
