“I don’t train because I want to be the biggest, baddest guy in the room. I train because I want to be able to defend myself and my family, but I also train so that I never have to. I want that for my students as well. Imi said, ‘. . . so that one may walk in peace.’ I think that everyone deserves that. . . to feel safe. . . to walk in peace. Krav Maga can give that to them. My students are the biggest motivator for me to keep training and to keep learning. I want to give everyone that walks into class that peace of mind that comes from learning self-defense.”
Jason is co-owner and Lead Instructor at Lions Krav Maga. He has a combined 27 years of self-defense, martial arts & combat sports experience, including 12 years of training in Krav Maga. Jason is a Certified Instructor directly under Eyal Yanilov, the highest ranking Krav Maga practitioner worldwide. He is also a Certified Law Enforcement Instructor, an Expert level instructor in Krav Maga Worldwide, a certified boxing coach, and a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
“I have had the pleasure of training with Jason for nearly a decade. His passion for Krav Maga and all the fighting arts is central to everything he does, and it shows in his approach to teaching. Jason is one of those rare instructors who makes his classes about the technique and his students — not himself. His professional demeanor, expert knowledge and concern for his students make learning from Jason a great experience. His commitment to his own training and evolution as an instructor make him great. I can’t recommend him highly enough.”

“I’ve had the good fortune of having Jason Fryer as one of my instructors for several years, and he is exactly what you want a self-defense instructor to be: approachable for both male and female students, no-nonsense, and unflinching about the realities of violence. He draws from his experience in multiple fighting styles to teach the best and most effective escapes and defenses that he knows. You can really tell that he’s not there to go through a single system by rote. He’s there to teach you to save your own life.”
